There should be like a recommendation button at the top and people can recommend new games. I used to recommend games to the old admin like a long time ago
I was also thinking for the prizes thing....That like once we hit 1000 members we can start doing the prizes and that will encourage more people to sign up and play. For like the contest it would be like...........The person who can get most trophies in one week and the prize will be a new keyboard and mouse.
Yes or a PC/PS3 game. I am also thinking about it...
I would make it very simple. Every month there will be some game to play. And member who will have the highest score in that game will get a prize ;-)

I think there needs to be like a news panel on the home page. Because people would see that and know immediately that there is a ongoing contest or something
There is only about 50 active members right now. That is not enough to start any competition. anyway when the site will have at least 100 active members a day I will start the prize system, I promiss you 
Admin i think you should do some type of page that you can see what members are online, or if you click on their profile it shows an online icon
There already is a page where you can see the members online in last 24 hours. When you click at "MORE" and then "Arcade Statistics" I think it will be easy to implement a similar page for users online in last 1 minute...
